Autotransportes Solisa Hermanos has its beginnings in 1976, when an urban bus was acquired in the Guadalupe's company.
After working since 1976 until 1980 on this route, that bus was sold and others are acquired to work on the route from Heredia to San José, where it worked since 1980 until 1990. besides it carried out the route from San José to Tilarán since 1986 until 1990 and the route from Coronado to San José since 1990 until 1994.
During these years operations are started in tourism area, carrying out cruises in Puntarenas, what it alowed for the first time to acquire a yaear's bus in 1989, with conditioner air and to beging the Solisa´s path as pioneer company in the development of the tourist transportation in Costa Rica.
Since that moment Solisa has devoted exclusively both national and international tourism, offering deluxe transportation services as much inside as outside the country. Also this company is one of the few companies which maintains as family companies, where their partners and owners, the Solis brothers, owe the beginnings to their founders: their parents Abelardo Solis and Maria Cristina Alvares. Throughout those 25 years of heavy duty and always in work group, Solisa has tourned into one of the most recognized companies in the country, in tourism transportation, standing out because of their units quality and customer service. What it lets us be official transportation of important events like The US President Bill Clinton's visit, Puente Siglo XXI Conference and official visits of world´s different countries Presidents. Currently the company has expanded in Guanacaste province where it has intallations and offices for operating national and international tourism which in the last years it has had a big increment in the tourists arrival to Liberia's Daniel Oduber International Airport, who come to enjoy the natural beauties of Guanacaste and of the country. Nowadays Solisa has 28 units, of different capacities to satisfy our dear client's demand. All of them are deluxe, with condition air and current models from 1998 to 2001. In the canton of San Isidro de Coronado, Solisa carries out community works like the assistance to the Old Persons' Home, giving them donations of food and transportation when they carrie out their trips, helps or donations to the Centro Integral de la Tercera Edad, Coronado's Church, Club Sport Uruguay, Municipalidad de Coronado and to different communities and support centers which shape this canton. We are grateful to the people for all support that they have ever trusted in our work and we hope to be able to continue serving to the community in the future for its development and improvement.
